The policy papers presented in this publication offer fresh perspectives on migration policy issues by voices that are often underrepresented in traditional policy discourse. These young researchers, for most of whom this is their first paper, have delved into key topics related to migration in Uganda, offering valuable insights, recommendations, and potential ways forward. Their diverse perspectives shed light on critical aspects of migration policy, including the challenges faced by migrants, the role of policy in shaping migration patterns, and the potential for effective policy interventions.

While these papers serve as a valuable resource for policymakers, practitioners, and researchers, it is important to note they also underscore the importance of engaging young scholars and researchers in shaping migration policy. Their fresh outlook, analytical skills, and passion can contribute significantly to the development of more comprehensive, inclusive, and forward-thinking migration policies.
